Scaredy Squirrel is a Canadian show that follows the quirky misadventures of Scaredy Squirrel; the show is based very loosely on the book series by the same name by Mélanie Watt.
The show premiered on April 1, 2011, in Canada and August 9, 2011, in the United States. The show was picked up by Cartoon Network but soon was dropped a few years later; it's currently available on Amazon Prime Video (with a premium subscription), iTunes ($1.99), and free on Tubi (seasons 3 and 4, anyhow).

The show usually begins with Scaredy Squirrel carrying out the theme song followed by words of Scaredy's wisdom, then followed by the words "Warning! Scaredy Squirrel is based on a character by Mélanie Watt", and then opened with the title card of an episode.

Major Characters
Scaredy - A quirky squirrel with a great sense of responsibility and adventure. He works as a stacker at the Stash "n" Hoard. He is a Character based on the book franchise by Melanie Watt.
Nestor - A yellow bird who's the manager of the Stash "n" Hoard. He despises Scaredy, but on occasion has helped him.
Dave - A blue skunk who's Scaredy's best friend. He helps Scaredy leave the squirrel's comfort zone‐‐ usually, though, it ends in everything going horribly wrong.
Sally - A fish who's madly in love with Scaredy‐‐ even to the point of stalking him‐‐ but oftentimes doesn't help out when he's in need.
Momma - The mother of Nestor and the owner of Stash "n" Hoard. She appears at any given moment, yelling, and likes to fire people.
Paddy Patterson - A ferret who's mischevious and rude. The dude hates Scaredy and is always trying to make his life miserable.
Richard- Scaredy's plant who doesn't do anything and yet has a lot of personality.
